Flight Trust
School project – iOS App – Business Plan
Flight Trust is an application where I can book and purchase curated flights across the world.
Let’s give some context:
Team Size: A solo Project
What I launched:
User Persona, Visual identity
Interactive hi-fidelity prototype
Presentation.
How long: 7 Days
I focused on:
UX Research, Benchmarking, Business Plan, Prototyping, Wireframing, Visual Design.
Keep in mind the business model.
There are many ways to get a ticket to travel; I wanted to understand people’s relationship and travels. Questioning people was the best way to get qualitative data.

Identifying the pain point
Comparators applications are not straightforward because of a lack of information.
Users travel around the world; the application needs to include all airports
People are ready to pay more to travel safer.
When users are booking a flight, they want to know the local public transportation information where they land to determine the hours.
Customers want to receive an explicit confirmation about their purchases to avoid
to screenshot every part of my experience.
Analyse, compare, identify what has worked, what has not, and what could work better.
Dressing the portrait of my user persona.
A Business model based on collaboration
It’s essential to generate revenue, and I decided to work
with a sponsor, but how to stand out from our competitors’ applications?
How to find the balance between getting remunerative and removing ads, premium account, or adding fees to buy?
I tighten up my search on airline alliances, SkyTeam, STAR ALLIANCE and ONE WORLD. The latter two has developed a mobile app. SkyTeam owes a booking flight service on desktop, although they launched the SkyPriority but only for business and first-class.
An exclusive business with Skyteam. Gathering 19 airlines companies
Dress up the flow
A first flow to compare, book, and purchase a flights
Low-fi sketch to understand the user flow,
Visual Identity
Inspiration
I decided to focus on old airline ads campaign posters selecting logotypes to illustrate alliances and airlines.
Confident
Accessible
Clear
Efficient
Trustworthy
Secure
Inspiration for branding, how to recall unity in team?
Shapes
Colours
Typeface
I chose Halyard family a sans serif typeface to keep the look and feel functional; there is a wide variety of weight.

Getting the information
I made a list of the tasks I’m going to find in the flow and answered the problem: Getting the information around the airport. I decided to add a feature that allows the user to get the local transport information. It is also a feature that can help us to stand out from other applications. I benchmarked City Mapper and Uber to understand the system.
To conclude
Travel in 2020
2020 was a pandemic/lockdown year; Flight Trust should support users by keeping them updated about future flights.
Next steps
Have the business plan in mind brought me a new perspective. This constraint was the opportunity to think differently. When time is short, it seems wiser to no spend
too much energy on branding, to have more time on my iteration to create solution more accurate starting for my insights.
